ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: State the major activities and job results for which the position is responsible.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Manager on new innovative products
  • Create pricing constructs and negotiate pricing with vendors and internal groups
  • Evaluate data around product performance and service contract offerings, and make recommendations
  • Provides information for executive management based on actuarial analysis
  • Build service contract pricing based on features/benefits
  • Get pricing approved internally throughout the Samsung organization
  • Provide guidance to rest of organization on licensing and filing requirements for service contract offerings
  • Identify risks within product constructs and provide recommendations to solve
  • Be the subject matter expert in your area and serve as a key point of contact for others in the organization

  • Strong understanding of the service contract and warranty industry for consumer products (mobile, home appliances, and consumer electronics)
  • Knowledge of state and national regulations as it relates to service contracts and portable electronics insurance for consumer products
  • Minimum of 10 years of actuarialexperience within consumer product service contracts (mobile, home appliances, and consumer electronics)
  • Experience in creating unique service contract pricing for consumer products across different sales channels
  • Leading and successfully navigating relationships and exerting influence with individuals in different positions, different backgrounds and of different skill levels is critical
  • Understanding of IoT and the future of the connected home
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Intermediate in MS Office Applications (Excel / PowerPoint / Word / Outlook / SharePoint)
  • A high degree of motivation and a self-starting attitude with a desire to thrive on new challenges and to take on additional responsibilities
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think and work independently and meet necessary deadlines
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams onsite and offsite
  • CPCU, ARe or ARM designation preferred
