SUMMARY

The Sr. Training Manager of Global Medical Affairs (GMAF), Learning and Development works closely with the Leadership and Team Members of Learning and Development to assure the development and execution of learning programs/assets to meet the learning and development needs of GMAF personnel. . This individual will interact with a variety of functions across the organization to ensure the materials are accurate, up to date, fair and balanced and in alignment with departmental goals and objectives.

This position will:

  • Manage Learning and Development systems and technology
  • Assess the training needs and opportunities on an individual,  regional as well as functional level
  • Develop materials and deliver training programs to help colleagues meet business objectives using Adult Learning Principles
  • Collaborate with appropriate product teams to understand product and program strategies and implement plans for training and development within the GMAF organization

RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning Technologies and Maintenance 

  • Responsible for the organization, usability, and maintenance of the 0365, Biolearn, and Bioweb content

  • Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the electronic learning modules, ensuring availability of timely and current training information and self-guided learning opportunities relevant to the end user

Needs Assessment, Curriculum Design, and Delivery

  • Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of training solutions on assigned products and disease areas to support learners within GMAF.

  • Perform basic needs analysis, assessing competencies and proficiency of organizations/functions in order to identify needs and address curriculum gaps, including working with individual functions to determine needs and conduct assessments

  • Design effective course curriculum and workshops to meet organization needs, including:

    • Identify or source expert facilitators to deliver effective live training as required

    • Support trainers/facilitators in gathering or developing training content

    • Obtain and or develop effective learning and development materials using a variety of media and blended approaches.

    • < >nsure GMAF personnel are proficient in core and select technical competencies

      Perform evaluation activities to assess learning progress and ensure performance gaps are closed

    • Collaborate with Matrix Team and cross-functional colleagues to ensure that training needs are met in ways that are accurate, timely, and aligned

    • Develop annual learning plans for assigned compounds

Learning Administration

  • Manage training participation, keep accurate records of training completion through the LMS system, and represent learning results visually as required

  • Ensure that all New Hire Orientation participants have necessary information, including pre-read content, post-training resources, and contacts

EXPERIENCE

Required Skills:

  • This position requires at least 5 years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry, with 2-3 years in a Learning and Development capacity.
  • Technically proficient including use of virtual learning methodologies/platforms, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Advanced knowledge of following systems O365, BioLearn/Compliancewire, Sharepoint, Windows Office and skype
  • Professional presence

  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Able to multi-task effectively
  • Strong collaboration skills

Desired Skills:

Instructional Design experiencepreferred

EDUCATION

  • BA/BS degree in relevant area required
  • Instructional Design certification preferred
