Position Summary

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) works in conjunction with the sales account manager and customer service team in all technical aspects of the customer engagement. The TPM is responsible for first-level technical customer support, aids in the development of account strategy, and provides critical feedback on Amkor's ability to align to customer needs. These activities can include technical Q&A, design generation, implementation of change notices, audit preparation and participation, resolution of technical issues, technical presentations and factory visits with the customer. This position will support new Business Development. Amkor is seeking a qualified individual to join the team in San Jose, CA.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with sales teams to help identify and win new programs to grow revenue
• Lead teams across Amkor to drive successful New Program ramps at Amkor factories
• Communicate and manage all customer process and package roadmap strategies
• Coordinate all factory/customer technical projects and serve as the point of contact on all new quality/reliability items
• Communicate all new customer technology requirements to the appropriate BU teams
• Provide technical support to the sales account manager and the rest of the sales team to assist in gaining market share and improving customer's profitability status
• The development, creation and delivery of assembly technology presentations

 

Required Qualifications

This position requires a BS Degree in Engineering. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) must have demonstrated knowledge in the processes, materials, and applications for semiconductor packaging. A minimum of 5 years of experience demonstrating leadership and professional growth within the semiconductor industry.

• Excellent problem solving skills to provide daily customer support; while reporting the status of on-going as well as future programs
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both large and small groups with excellent presentation skills
• Must be flexible to work within both US and Asian business hours
• Must show initiative and demonstrate excellent follow-up on active programs with multiple customers
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required
• Ability and willingness to travel as needed; anticipated travel up to 15% domestically and 15% internationally

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus
