Role Details:

ViacomCBS is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Senior Manager, Social Media to lead online efforts to grow the ComicBook brand on various platforms.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in the best practices of Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitch, and YouTube, as demonstrated by his or her active social media profiles and portfolio of work. They will understand the most current content strategies utilized by these platforms and be equipped to create videos, articles, headlines, and share language that best play to each of those platform strategies. As the Senior Manager, you will have experience covering breaking news and the proven ability to create smart, catchy, and accurate pieces on news in a variety of topics. You will be able and willing to work newsroom hours as needed, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays. This person will have the ability to identify which trending stories are worth pursuing, give productive guidance, and skillfully navigate problem-solving situations on the fly.

Your Day-to-Day:

Identify and execute on trending stories of value
Gather user-generated content from the ComicBook community as well as social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube
Stay on top of emerging trends within social media as it relates to video
Work with editorial and video teams to prioritize time-sensitive projects, so they are optimized for success
Quickly create fresh static meme content off of already successful/trending discourse
Evolve our video content through the use of insights and data with a clear understanding of how this impacts the success
Produce anywhere from 10 to 15 social videos a week
Lead the strategy with Talent & Video Team to produce content for the various platforms

QUALIFICATIONS:

What you bring to the team:

You have -

At least 5+ years experience in social media content/video production
A creative thinker with hands-on experience crafting content for nerdy brands
A deep-rooted passion for superhero movies, television and comics
