The Senior Manager of Sales Training leads a team of Training Managers whose responsibility is to ensure proper execution of formal training and the on-going collaborative interactions with Field Leadership and internal partners that identify learning gaps and potential solutions. Contribute to the development, evaluation and improvement of training strategies. A thorough understanding of sales channels, adult learning principles and wireless performance measurements is essential to be successful in this position. In addition to the above summary, the Senior Manager is responsible for working within the Senior Manager team to align and support the SOS training strategy in a way that ensures the Training Managers are fully integrated into the ADDIE process.



Requires competency in customer focus, change & innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building & influencing, talent management, results focus and inspirational leadership.

•Build partnerships and work collaboratively with Field Leadership and Training Managers to gain insight into strengths and gaps in performance, and recommend effective training solutions that help deliver business results. Schedule and conduct store visits with the senior manager level and regularly participate in conference calls and business meetings with Field Leadership. Training solutions will vary based on the business situation and may include in-the-moment coaching, informal learning experiences, and formal training initiatives.
•Participates on internal project teams as assigned, providing relevant field feedback on training content, modality and plans. Support Enterprise priorities by making training recommendations that close performance gaps and drive revenue. Provide Training Managers regular project updates. Demonstrate leadership within the team by taking on additional responsibilities outlined by the Director (project lead, special training projects, subject matter expert)
•Manages T-Mobile Training Initiatives for all areas. Work collaboratively with Training Managers and leadership to develop training plans that align with existing business operating plans. Audit and consult with Training Managers on execution plans for new content developed at local levels.
•Communicate to Field Leadership and Training Managers the training initiative expectations, timing and adoption of behaviors that drive performance. Collect field feedback from Training Managers and share insights and lessons learned with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Collaboratively work with leadership to develop reinforcement and sustainment activities for implementation by frontline leadership.
•Collaborate with Sr. Directors of Field Operations on the strategic alignment of training priorities and field execution. Share insights with Training Managers and assist in the follow-up plans to close performance gaps in the field as well as provide feedback to the Sr. Manager team for future training development.
•Able to understand and navigate the organizational dynamics in such a way that creates and sustains a strongpartnership at all levels of the organization.



•8-10 years of retail or related leadership experience
•5+ years professional training experience
•Ability to problem solve and leverage negotiation skills to reach sound analytical outcomes with key business partners
•Able to Identify and confirm the specific factors beyond training that contribute to a change in performance
•Understanding of performance management and coaching techniques
•Strong understanding of Adult Learning Principles
•Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
•High School Diploma/GED
