Pacira Pharmaceuticals currently has an opening for a Senior Manager, Sales & Operations.

The purpose of this position is to ensure all approved commercial and non-commercial forecasts to be supported by manufacturing is consolidated and maintained, including the sales unit forecast, product development requirements, engineering/new equipment install requirements and validation requirements. This position will be responsible for leading the Sales & Operations (S&OP) meetings including the tracking, trending and reporting information relevant to S&OP. This position will help define and support Collaborative Planning as well as the development and maintenance of a Manufacturing Forecasting and Replenishment Model. The incumbent will develop a balanced manufacturing plan sourcing product from the San Diego manufacturing facility and CMO while meeting target Finished Goods Inventory levels in a GMP environment.

  • This role will lead the establishment and execution of the S&OP processes.

  • Execute all facets of the S&OP process to provide an optimum customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization’s business operating plans and strategic objectives.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, R&D, and Finance to ensure the demand consensus process delivers an agreed upon, workable volume forecast (mid and long term).

  • Collaborate with internal parties to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate to be reviewed at the S&OP process meetings and establish company’s Supply plan.

  • Lead the S&OP management reviews, prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.

  • Create the S&OP minutes, communicate key conclusion to stakeholders and perform follow up of the actions.

  • Work with Alliance Partners to review forecast and account for demand in Manufacturing Plan.

  • Manage the fulfillment of orders for Alliance Partners to ensure on time order fulfillment.

  • Assist in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.

  • Develop a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal S&OP execution.

  • Support Inventory and Operations Planning procedures and initiatives.

  • Facilitate and lead the periodic review of all levels of the S&OP process.

  • Develop, deploy, track and report results and drive key performance indicators (KPI’s).

  • Create and maintain valid manufacturing plan by balancing supply and demand for product and meeting FG inventory goals.

  • Publish and distribute Weekly Inventory Dashboard.

  • Review WIP and FG inventory levels against forecasted and actual sales. Adjust Manufacturing plan to ensure no stock-outs of product.

  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.

  • Inform management when demand cannot be met and recommend alternatives on how the requested demand could be satisfied.

  • Analyze production capacity monthly, or as required; maintain and update capacity data for all critical plant resources / work centers.

    Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A from an accredited college or university required.
  • 4 years of relevant Manufacturing Planning and S&OP experience in a GMP environment.
  • 6 years or relevant experience developing complex analysis tools (excel) to trend data and develop dashboard reports and graphs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and complex situations in a large group setting
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, coordination, and planning
  • Understanding and knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning and Sales and Operations Planning
  • Ability to accomplish goals and tasks with teams through teamwork; influencing and leading; negotiation;
  • Must possess strong problem solving skills and solid judgment and be able to work autonomously
  • Must possess strong data analytical skills to problem solve, manage / measure business, and seek opportunities for improvements.
  • Willingness to work as a team player and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Coordinate activities for multiple departments
  • Experienced in with scheduling software, Excel spreadsheets, Power Point, Microsoft Project and word processing software programs
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
