We are looking for an experienced, hands-on, results-driven Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to play a key role within Align’s revenue accounting team that will be integral to ensuring the accurate accounting and reporting of revenue in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This position will report to the Director of Revenue Management and will be instrumental to supporting the growing, global revenue function while also helping to build scalable processes. This position will also assist with the implementation of revenue accounting processes for the monthly close under ASC 606.




  • Manage the worldwide revenue accounting for the iTero Scanner and Services business to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of revenue according to US GAAP and company policies
  • Manage the worldwide monthly revenue close for the iTero Scanner and Services business and related promotion and discount programs
  • Participate in the month-end close process, which includes reviewing and/or verifying the accuracy of journal entries, revenue accruals, account reconciliations and fluctuation analysis.
  • Directly manage team of 3 Revenue Analysts and dotted line management of Revenue Analysts in regions outside the United States
  • Key Revenue team representative in the global promotions process
  • Assist with management revenue reporting
  • Work collaboratively with Technical Revenue Accounting
  • Work collaboratively with Global Controllers to train and manage Revenue Analysts in global regions
  • Work with external and internal auditors to provide the required support for the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
  • Foster proactive working relationships with cross-functional organizations including AR, Marketing, Sales, Corporate Finance, FP&A, IT, and Cost Accounting
  • Identify and implement business process improvements for the iTero revenue accounting cycle
  • Participate and support new system implementations, system enhancements and product launches
  • Additional responsibilities or projects, as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Combination of 10+ years’ experience in Big 4 public accounting (or regional firm with SEC clients) and/or a publicly traded company
  • Licensed CPA
  • Experience and knowledge of revenue accounting related to multiple-element arrangements under ASU 2009-13 (EITF 08-1) and ASU 2009-14 (EITF 09-03), calculations and deferrals under ASC 985-605 (SOP 97-2) and accounting for customer discounts under ASC 605-50
  • Experience managing revenue contract review process
  • Experience driving and implementing continuous improvements
  • Knowledge of new revenue standard (ASC 606)
  • Must possess strong communication & writing skills
  • Strong ERP, revenue management and reporting system skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to partner with and influence personnel around the world and cross functionally
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Experience developing and building teams
