Provide technical management support to the Reliability & Safety, Fire Safety & Lightning Safety functional teams, including analyses of nacelle aerospace component parts, assemblies & systems. Confirm product designs are in conformance w/company, customer & aerospace safety standards. Coordinate reliability & Safety tasks. Support product safety activities. Responsible for on time completion of safety deliverables for development & legacy programs, ensuring application of UPI (UTAS Product Introduction), adherence to budgets & schedule. 10% travel required, international.
Qualification: Must also possess: at least 5 years of exp. w aerospace safety requirements, regulations & policies related to system safety, fire & lightning; at least 5 years of exp. w highly loaded advanced aerospace composite structures; at least 5 years of exp. w progressive technical leadership; at least 5 years of exp. developing & witnessing either lightning or fire testing; at least 5 years of exp. on aerospace development programs, specifically FAA Part 25 &/or EASA CS-25; at least 3 years of exp. as technical signatory holder for either fire, lightning or reliability & safety; direct exp. completing at least 2 aircraft certifications w/regulating authorities (FAA/EASA); & exp. developing at least 2 aerospace development program platforms.
