The HR Operations team is responsible for providing data driven people insights that drive the organization forward and continuously improve processes. This role will partner with HR and Business Leaders, plus the HRIS and HIT teams to identify, define and execute sustainable people analytics initiatives. They will also partner with Business and HR leaders in providing decision support information, address workforce related issues and effect short-term and long-term business goals. Uses technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise wide people and other cross functional data needs. Successful candidates will possess business intuition and ability to use analytical tools and methods to gain insights from data.

Essential Functions

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify key initiatives and execute delivery of sustainable solutions to business problems, using data analysis and advanced analytics best practices
  • Advises and participates in the creation of HR's long and short-term analytics roadmap, and helps identify the technologies required to support each
  • Leverage data from a variety of sources to analyze performance in key people metrics, identify areas of opportunity, and provide actionable insights to HR business partners and/or operations leaders
  • Work with leaders and teams to uncover and assess process improvement opportunities for the HR function
  • Track people analytics projects from ideation to completion, including creating project roadmaps, detailed project plans and requirements documentation; Lead status meetings and manage frequent status communication to key stakeholders and senior leadership as required
  • Support, translate and apply data analysis results to the organization using common business language with the HR and business functions
  • Testing of downstream data or applications to validate data accuracy/quality
  • Manage and/or mentor team members to improve data analytics capabilities
  • Creates/maintains HR quality assurance measures/metric reporting
  • Obtains and manages external benchmarking around People Analytics

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with degree in quantitative field a plus (business analytics, information systems, or related degree)
  • Passionate about data analytics and visionary for how it can be applied, with strong strategic/critical thinking and problem-solving skills to complement
  • Ability to thrive in project environments that often start with uncertain requirements or outcomes; ability to put definition and structure around problems and projects
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise and actionable manner
  • Change Agent that can build strong credibility and influence in the organization
  • Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting or visualization tools, Essbase or Tableau a plus, ability to tell a story using data
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical role
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or People Analytics
  • Experience with HR systems, such as PeopleSoft, Taleo, etc., preferred
  • Experience with database interface tools, SQL and programming concepts preferred
