We are seeking a Senior Manager of Equity and Payroll to manage the company’s equity and payroll activities. The candidate will have the knowledge, expertise and drive to take our equity administration and payroll functions to the next level. S/he will effectively and efficiently manage the Company’s equity activities using Equity Edge Online and lead all payroll activities for a multi-state employee payroll using Workday; and will thrive in an environment that demands high productivity, including meeting multiple deadlines within very tight schedules. This position will report directly to the Director of SEC Reporting and SOX and will have two direct reports.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer all aspects of the equity programs
  • Act as an Equity Administration resource to participants, internal and external business partners providing them with complete and accurate information
  • Maintain data (e.g., new hires, terminations, etc.) in the equity system
  • Manage all participant equity plan transactions (grants, exercises, tax withholding, releases, forfeitures, etc.) and ensure they are correctly processed and settled in a timely manner.
  • Prepare ASC 718 valuation inputs for the valuation of option grants
  • Prepare the stock-based compensation expense entries
  • Prepare the equity rollforward and disclosures for 10-Q and 10-K
  • Effectively manage and execute all aspects of the semi-monthly payroll processing for multi-state employee payroll using the Workday payroll system ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour laws, as well as company's payroll and benefit policies and procedures
  • Oversee reporting of garnishments, taxes, 401K
  • Oversee payroll systems and related technical areas including inbound/outbound interfaces, earning/deduction code set-up
  • Provide key support to the Finance and Accounting group
  • Work with auditors for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, as well as ensuring that tight internal controls are in place and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review of compliance with effective internal controls
  • Provide a high level of customer service to employees
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • CPP and/or CEP certification preferred
  • 8+ years of payroll and equityexperience with a public company
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing staff
  • Strong Workday payroll and Equity Edge Online experience
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Broad experience with a range of equitycompensation instruments and plans, including stock options, RSUs and ESPPs
  • Experience supporting 10b5-1 plan transactions, including coordinating with brokers, processing transactions and supporting timely reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multi-state and Federal Labor laws, pay practices and policies
  • Solid understanding of payroll operations including transactions such as 401K match and limits, incentive/bonus/benefit offerings, multistate payroll
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with all types of wage support and garnishment orders
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion, particularly working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, able to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines, and with minimal supervision
  • Experience with SOX compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate across departments and at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
