Reporting to the Sr. Director, Patient Advocacy, the Sr. Manager, Patient Advocacy will be accountable for the planning and implementation of patient advocacy initiatives that specifically impact patient communities across multiple therapeutic programs.


Working with the Senior Director, establish and strengthen partnerships with advocates/patients/stakeholders within prioritized oncology disease areas, including hematologic malignancies, bladder, breast, colorectal and cervical cancers

Support execution of global and local patient advocacy engagement plans as needed

Represent Seattle Genetics at patient meetings and events and serve as the point of contact/external ambassador to the Advocate community

Develop and execute strategy for patient-related conferences and events, including development of sponsorship materials, attendee lists, booth materials, etc

Collaborate with cross-functional team members and Alliance partners to create, initiate and enhance patient-centric/patient engagement activities, including awareness of clinical trials, development of patient education materials and/or programs, gain patient insights for research and public relations initiatives

Communicate company news/updates and relay insights, questions and news from advocacy community to team

Serve as primary point of contact for all patient advocacy operational matters, including budget planning and tracking and issuing sponsorship agreements

Develop and maintain tools and resources to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness


5-7 years of relevant experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry and/or healthcare non-profit, medical society or relevant government agency

Passionate and empathetic individual with the ability to build meaningful connections with stakeholders

Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects involving cross-functional teams with shifting timelines

Sensitivity to diverse groups of people both internal and external with the ability to manage different opinions and perspectives, including tolerance for and ability to navigate ambiguous situations is required

Ability to understand and operate and comply with regulatory and compliance and know when to seek counsel

Demonstrated reputation internally and externally as well as a well-respected, dynamic team player

Outstanding verbal and written and communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills

The position will require up to 40-50% domestic travel


Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
