Sr. Manager of Continuous ImprovementThe Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement will serve as a functional leader responsible for driving operational excellence and creating a sustainable continuous improvement culture across the Supply Chain. Business Process Engineering is the iterative process of the business that will enable the organization to experience dramatic improvements in performance, efficiencies, quality of service, as well as productivity gains. These continuous improvement efforts will be realized by interpreting process information and transactional data into predictive & prescriptive analytical and engineering solutions to optimize existing processes.
This individual will lead a team of Supply Chain Engineers (SCE) to champion and lead transformational projects, unlock process data, and apply it into insightful key performance indicators (KPIs); enabling the Supply Chain to realize continuous improvements in their business functions. He/She will identify the current state of business processes, propose newly formulated data driven solutions, facilitate key stakeholder consultations to influence the people executing the change, and assist with the implementation of any new business process improvement projects…
Project work typically includes gathering & analyzing information, data mining, formulating & testing hypotheses and working with frontline employees as well as departmental leadership to develop short and long-term solutions and to implement sustainable change. Projects range in duration and complexity - from quick analysis lasting from days to weeks, to large-scale transformative efforts that can last four to six months. This role would also be responsible with helping guide the deployment and development of (SCE) resources within Supply Chain as well as support developing a strategic approach with senior level leadership on project work.

Detailed Description

  • Provide direct leadership and participate in business case development and prioritization of technology and/or business process driven projects.
  • Lead the design and development of analytical projects designed to understand key business objectives through metric creation, interpretation and analysis of key metrics and provide recommendations based on KPI analysis
  • Innovate new ideas to improve Supply Chain business modeling processes and drive continuous improvements efforts
  • Responsible to develop and/or improve analytical tools by partnering with B.I. Technology teams to deliver a stable and highly available reporting platform
  • Identify opportunities to develop forecasts, statistical & financial models, to drive or discover new opportunities to optimize the business through analytics and statistical modeling
  • Work with business owners to identify information needs and reporting; primary partners include, Supply Chain Operations & Customer Service, Transportation & Carrier Relations, Finance & Procurement and Strategic Planning
  • Mitigate the risk of disruption in Supply Chain through continuously engaging relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques to identify cost drivers, quantify frequency and severity of impacts to the business, develop and implement solutions and establish sustainability metrics to control the process going forward.
  • Conducts analytical studies to support critical objectives as set forth by the Director of the assigned area.

Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Engineering or Business Administration or other related field or equivalent experience
