Sr Manager, IT Vendor Management

The Manager, IT Vendor Management is responsible for managing and/or supporting all IT vendors and contracts. This new role will work to build a catalogue of current IT vendor offerings, and define a process for onboarding, offboarding, and ongoing review of IT vendors. The successful candidate will be able to stand up a structure for vendor management by partnering with IT and non-IT teams. This is a new role reporting to the VP of IT Operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Define practices for creation of, build out, and provide ongoing management of a vendor portfolio, including contracts, contacts, spend, renewals, inventory, and vendor performance
  • Support the implementation of internal processes and policies with adequate controls around contract and vendor management to mitigate risks around vendor life-cycle
  • Partner with IT Teams and Legal to negotiate business terms with IT vendors and partners (large and small), to minimize risk and maximize price efficiencies
  • Craft and maintain a robust understanding of the trade balance between JLL and vendors, working directly with IT leadership and business units to determine leverage opportunities
  • Ensure all vendor relationships have measurable service agreements, and validate and ensure adherence to SLAs
  • Responsible for managing service agreements across software, hardware, IT Services, and Telecom/Network
  • Build and create relationships with internal clients to understand their contracting needs

Job Requirements


Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain or related discipline with 3- 5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of IT Organizations in areas such as procurement, contract management or service delivery processes
  • Proven experience influencing and negotiating between teams in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
  • Two to three years’ experience managing vendor relationships across infrastructure and application service agreements


  • Proactive in approaching their team and internal stake holders on solutions to existing problems
  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in the area of influencing without direct authority
  • Creative thought process that produces innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical contractual aspects to senior leaders within and external to IT
