Sr Manager, IT Contractor Management

The Sr Manager, IT Contractor Management is responsible for strategic ownership of contractor management, working in close partnership with IT leaders and Human Resources to build best practices and processes. This position will be responsible for building an understanding of and forecastingcontractor skill sets, building relationships with contracting vendors, and process definition and enhancement related to managing contractor onboarding and efforts. This is a new role reporting to the VP of IT Operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership of, review, and improve contractor hiring process, taking feedback from leaders and managers to craft a full end to end contractor resourcing strategy
  • Work with leadership and managers to forecast future contractor requirements, ensuring that future skill sets are understood, planned for, and staffed with the best candidate
  • Build a full picture of all Americas IT contractors, including onboard date, expected end date, manager, salary, etc., and partner with managers to proactively plan for changes
  • Establish best practice regarding managed service contractors, contract to hire processes, and establishing the right balance between contract and employee
  • Establish relationships with contracting firms, creating and maintaining strategic partnerships
  • Manage interview and onboarding activities for all contractor hires, including phone and in person interviews across geographically disparate offices
  • Partner with HR to build a comprehensive plan to determine when and where JLL should invest in training and upskilling resources
  • Build and create relationships with internal clients to understand their contracting needs

Job Requirements


Bachelor's in computer science, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience


  • 3-5 years’ experience in recruiting and/or contractor management
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of IT Organizations in areas such as recruitment, hiring, contract management or service delivery processes
  • Proven experience providing strategic oversight of contract resource planning for a large organization
  • Proven experience influencing and negotiating between teams in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role


  • Proactive in approaching team and internal stake holders on solutions to existing problems
  • Detail oriented with strong people skills, capable of quickly understanding organization skill requirements and crafting and implementing a strategy to meet those needs
  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in the area of influencing without direct authority
  • Creative thought process that produces innovative solutions to problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand technical and strategic hiring needs within IT and HR groups
