Summary of Major Responsibilities

The Sr. Manager, Incentive Compensation provides sales operations leadership for Exact Sciences to develop, execute and manage strategy and processes for successful commercialization focused on sales force incentive design, compensation management, and rewards and recognition programs. This role will work closely with our external vendor for overall management of the sales incentive compensation program.  The role reports directly to the Director, Commercial Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with various stakeholders (executive leadership, sales management, human resources) to understand the overall sales strategy to ensure a SIP design that is built to deliver on that strategy
  • Manage relationship with outside vendor responsible for managing the Sales Incentive Plan process
  • Facilitate the development of processes to differentiate performance across the sales organization to inform such areas as annual performance reviews, long term incentives, and Circle of Excellence recognition
  • Ensure processes and robust rhythm of review are in place to accurately and consistently capture metrics and take action through trend analysis and customer feedback
  • Enable collaborative culture and drive organization to improve customer/client satisfaction levels and responsiveness

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or other technical field
  • Minimum of five (8) years in the field of compensation, marketing, sales, or commercial operations including experience leading teams and projects
  • Demonstrated experience establishing sales operations strategies, including design of incentives and compensation plans
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of quota setting methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives with excellent project planning and execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including the ability to easily convey concepts and priorities to peers, customers and global teams

 Desired Characteristics

  • MBA degree or equivalent
  • Sales operations experience, healthcare focused, is preferred
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Adaptable, open to change and able to work in ambiguous situations and respond to new information or unexpected circumstances.
