Our Opportunity:

As a Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner, you will support key areas of Schwab Technology Services (STS), which has just over 1,000 employees across all major locations. You will serve as a trusted and collaborative advisor in providing proactive, practical and valued HR thought partnership to business leadership while ensuring alignment with Schwab’s corporate culture and business initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Diagnose, translate, and define current and future business needs and develop an innovative HR solution while also helping execute STS’ overall integrated strategic HR plan
  • Act as a proactive change agent in driving goals and objectives across the organization
  • Provide organizational development interventions and support including organization design, leadership transitions, communication processes, and reward/recognition programs
  • Assess the organization's capabilities, identify competency and talent gaps, ensure the development of people resources, support talent assessment, and succession planning
  • Deliver high quality, proactive HR services and processes that enable the attainment of strategic business goals and critical initiatives
  • Initiate and maintain effective communications with the leadership team; provide coaching and guidance on matters related to performance management and offer feedback on behaviors that will improve employee productivity and engagement
  • Ensure and maintain the alignment of all corporate HR initiatives and implement and deliver HR programs within the business

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degreepreferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a strategic HR Business Partner within large to mid-sized organizations preferred
  • Proven experience providing HR Business Partner support to a mid to large-sized Technology function/department .
  • Strong influencing skills with people and teams with have
  • Experience operating successfully in a complex matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Relationship building and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to impact organizational effectiveness and excel on high performing teams capable of delivering strategic results
  • Experience in organization design and creating workforce plans to inform decision making
  • Significant experience with workforce analytics along with the ability to use data and reporting to drive strategic decisions
  • Proven track record of developing organizational change initiatives that deliver real business results
  • Demonstrated business knowledge and capability to assess HR implications of business priorities
  • Executive presence, change agent and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance strategic and systems thinking with operational implementation
