      The Sr. Manager, Finance will support the ascena Global Sourcing (aGS) organization with responsibility for planning, budgeting and analysis functions. Key liaison with other ascena Brand Service (aBS) Finance functions (including Accounting Shared Services, Tax, Treasury, and Reporting teams) and Business Unit leadership.

      This role will provide monthly reporting on financials and key performance indicators (KPI) , will play a critical role in supporting business initiatives, and will be a proactive partner to the business that supports, influences and drives sounds business decisions based on objectivity, facts and analysis.

      Primary Responsibilities

      • Responsible for the aGS (domestic and international) financials, including the accuracy of the monthly results, allocations and variance analysis. Individual expected to work closely with other aBS Finance functions and demonstrate the ability to identify, investigate, and react to issues with a high level of complexity
      • Partner with ALL Financial teams and cross functional partners on a regular basis to ensure financial forecasts and risk / opportunity assessments are presented in timely manner
      • Construct meaningful analysis and communicate findings to critical stakeholders across the enterprise. Individual is expected to be proactive in conducting deeper analysis to identify causes, implications and range of possible solutions
      • Support key business initiatives with a continuous improvement mindset
      • Exhibit effective team leadership and provide training / development for direct reports

      Required Skills, Experience & Competencies (Demonstrated Prior to Assuming Position)

      • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance or Accounting
      • 10+ years progressive accounting/financial experience in a multi-divisional corporation, preferably in a global/international sourcing or retail organization.
      • Senior management experience required and must have strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Strong influencing skills required.
      • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, modeling and analysis. Should have experience with long range plans (LRP) and have a mindset for sales projections.
      • Strong customer service focus with the ability to build strong cross-functional / cross-brand relationships
      • Ability to multitask on several processes / projects occurring simultaneously and requiring attention to details
      • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) is required
      • Experience using Oracle and Hyperion a plus
