ROLE OVERVIEW


This position leads large team of experienced Finance professionals or team leaders. Leads the development of key components of financial plans, manages and monitors financial initiatives and controls. Evaluates and recommends strategies for financial and budget plans, and advises senior management on financial matters.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of key elements of financial plans, including cost reductions, earned value management, budget and policy recommendations and medium-term planning activities.
  • Manages the organization's finance activities to support the business plans of the organization, including pricing, revenue recognition and cost modeling.
  • Evaluates and recommends strategy for financial and/or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
  • Develops controls for the organization's financial activities to ensure they are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant policies, procedures, regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Advises senior management on financial matters and on the potential impact on the operations of the organization.
  • Manages major responsibilities across multiple finance disciplines on a regular basis.
  • Performs finance activities that cannot be attributed to a defined discipline.
  • May also include professional employees required to perform activities across several disciplines at smaller sites.



Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:


These are the minimum qualifications to do the job.

  • Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 12 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a US Person (this will include the green card holders)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience
  • MBA or CPA
  • US government accounting experience
  • Experience with engineering reporting



Education:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience
