Job Summary:

Freeform is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Consumer Insights team and lead various research projects and deliver insights that inform important programming and marketing decisions. The Senior Manager will be a valued consumer consultant working with internal teams to understand their insights needs, then develop and execute research using innovative cutting-edge approaches to address those needs.


  • Manage research studies from translating business needs into methodology, vendor selection, study design, project management, analysis, presentation / report writing through sharing insights
  • Design and execute consumer research projects to inform development of new and current Freeform series as well as to inform marketing strategy and execution
  • Develop strategic insights about Freeform and its audience and communicate those across the organization
  • Represent the voice of the consumer in terms that are relevant to the business
  • Develop creative and innovative ways to gather key consumer insights that shape strategy and drive key decisions
  • Collaborate with the Freeform measurement team to deliver key insights to internal business partners

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a market research agency or department and at least 3 years of primary research experience
  • Has experience with and is comfortable managing both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Highly-proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident, self-motivated detail oriented; able to take ownership of projects and execute them at a high level
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving
  • Willing to challenge traditional thinking
  • Superior social and communication skills; able to establish relationships and build trust both inside and outside of the team
  • Passionate consumer of TV, digital media, and pop culture
  • Understands how to turn the consumer’s voice and data into actionable findings for internal business groups that pushes the business forward
  • Knows how to design a research project that meets the need of the business question and can identify which methodology best serves that purpose
  • Is a compelling storyteller who is able to socialize research findings across different departments, meeting the needs of each
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and prioritize effectively
  • Organized with strong time management skills
  • Naturally curious and collaborative
  • Thrives on working within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with entertainment research preferred

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
