Art.com Inc. is the world's largest online retailer of high-quality wall art, home decor and specialty trend items with over 20 localized sites serving more than 100 markets. Art.com Inc's mobile-first e-commerce properties include Art.com, AllPosters.com, and the Photos[to]Art app. The Emerging Businesses business unit provides a startup environment, within the comfort of a larger company - intrapreneurship - at its finest. The first nascent business is 'WorkspaceArt'  targeting B2B business and trade buyers across diverse industries from hotels to hospitals to schools to government facilities to corporates large and small. Upon graduating the B2B business to maturity, our mission will turn to additional new growth engines for Art.com, Inc.We are looking for a well-rounded, ambitious, and highly entrepreneurial sales pro to develop and execute strategies to rapidly grow our sales of art for large scale business buyers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop sales strategy and campaigns to identify and effectively go after >$10K sales opportunities with prioritized customer and partner segments
  • Clarify roles of self-service e-commerce platform vs. high touch personal sales and service for maximizing the lifetime value of individual major accounts, and the overall scaling portfolio of clients
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, and Customer Service for successful end-to-end selling campaigns
  • Set ambitious but achievable sales forecasts and orchestrate with account management team (and potentially salescontractors ad hoc as needed) to regularly exceed them
  • Analyze Salesforce data to determine the appropriate actions required to drive sales and profit improvement across the customer base, and productivity across the team
  • Coach existing team of account managers, in both the US and Europe to build and convert a pipeline of deals (>$10K each) across multiple industry segments
  • Lead salesmarketing efforts including trade shows, targeted mailings, and cultivation emails by evangelizing and continuously refining our value proposition, including significant input on pricing, product assortment, and policy parameters
  • Interface with Customer Support and Operations teams to assess and fulfill any non-standard requests
  • Bring learnings from top customers/prospects back to the Leadership Team to prioritize future investments based on expected returns
  • KPIs: Sales!, Serviced Units/Collections, New Large Customers, Share of Wallet, Repeat Rate, Referrals/Testimonials

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years in sales and sales management roles of increasing responsibility and budget scope
  • eCommerce and/or art/furniture/fixtures-related industry a major plus
  • Existing network of commercial designers and/or real estate owners/tenants (e.g. corporates, healthcare, hospitality) and understanding of their buying cycles
  • Strong sales, business, and financial acumen required, with ability to manage a team's financial forecasts, drivers, and performance
  • Excellent relationship building persistence and negotiating skills with a track record of impressive sales and profit growth
  • Fast moving, agile, hands on, and hungry to experiment and drive results
  • Entrepreneurial, innovative and unafraid to challenge conventional thinking
  • Strong people leadership and motivation skills, and references to attest to great cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to work globally (multi-cultural sensitivity), and travel as needed
