In these roles you will be responsible for:

  • Monitor functional and operational areas for compliance risks related to State and Federal regulations. This is accomplished through formal and informal monitoring and assessment activities, and may include government regulatory agencies (ex. HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare, Medicaid, etc);
  • Identify and interpret new State and Federal laws, regulations, and other contractual requirements by providing notification to internal and external customers, obtaining necessary approvals for implementation, and implementing and monitoring of the applicable law, regulation, or requirement and its impact to NTT Data Services and its customers;
  • Respond to internal and external customer legal, compliance, or audit inquiries relating to day to day business situations by conducting research and composing appropriate opinions;
  • Conducts regulatory research and evaluates audit testing results. Draft opinions/documents for business needs related to such research and audit results;
  • Provide oversight to functional and operational area leaders who are accountable for implementing corrective action plans (CAP) related to monitoring results; receive regular updates regarding the progress of the CAPS to mitigate risk, and communicate this to compliance leadership;
  • Conducts review of HIPAA Compliance related programs and activities for process improvement, reporting and ensuring regulatory obligations are met;

Requirements for this role:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant compliance, legal, or HIPAA experience;
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience;
  • Strong understanding and application of compliance principles;

Preferences:

  • Juris Doctor degree;
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills;
  • Strong risk assessment skills;

This is a full-time salaried position with a group company within NTT DATA. Please note, 1099 or corp-2-corp contractors will NOT be considered.
