Job Description
The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Sr IT Manager to join the Business & Supply Chain Systems organization in St. Louis, MO.  In this role you will be responsible for managing an IT Finance Systems team tasked with providing support to Enterprise Plan to Perform and Program Management across the business units.  Plan to perform consist of:  Strategic Planning, Business Planning, Financial Forecast, Operational Management, and Estimate At Completion (EAC). 

In addition, Program Management will be supporting all of Boeing’s program managers and will be a business partner to the Enterprise program management council.   This position is critical to ensuring Boeing's financial plans and program deliverables are timely accurate, and compliant.   This role also serves as the IT Global Solution Owner (GSO) to the 2nd Century ERP development program.
 
Responsibilities & Duties:
Manages and integrates employee and management activities in the delivery and support of IT systems and services for the finance systems. Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives that align with the needs of the Finance strategic objective. Leverages IT solutions and drives innovation to increase the growth and productivity of the business.  Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
 
Develops and maintains productive relationships and partnerships with customers, employees, peers, and IT service providers.  Manages and provides developmental opportunities for all IT employees in their organization, responsible for the ongoing growth of leadership and technical skills across the team.  Operates as a member of the Finance Systems IT leadership team, contributing to the development and engagement of the IT workforce, execution of business plan commitments, and working together to leverage standard solutions across Finance.

Provides strong organizational leadership in an environment of frequently changing priorities, high pressure decision making, and high customer expectations.  Builds strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships to resolve problems, improve processes and achieve goals.
 
Applies budget management principles and practices to manage multiple projects, processes and/or departments.  Manages performance to plan for multiple projects.  Collaborates across IT and with business function counterparts, responsible for the successful integration of a variety of systems, platforms, and architectures.

The successful candidate has demonstrated knowledge of the full range of IT technology and service delivery, and sufficient business and operations knowledge to make independent decisions that add clear value to the business.  Requires strong skills in communication, planning, organizing and resource management to work effectively across all organizations and management levels to achieve success.  In addition, demonstrated experience in lean/agile development methods.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • 3+ years of previous management experience.
  • 1+ year of experience with staffing and employee development strategies.
  • Prior experience with Enterprise wide ERP system deployment.
  • Strategy and Long Range Business Planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Prior experience with Finance systems, Program Management systems and processes. 
  • Experience with Oracle, SAP, Deltek, and TM1.
  • Experience using Lean+ /Agile Project Management or Development methods.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
