The successful candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, IT or Engineering. MBA or equivalent background is a plus. Solid background in Engineering, Contract management, procurement, or project management with an emphasis on vendor relations and finance, with 5+ years’ experience.  Experience in Telecommunications industries highly desirable


Job Description

Provide financial analysis support to the Engineering department as part of the vendor management team.  The vendor management team is responsible for all engineeringbudgets, both capital and expense.  Additionally, vendor management is responsible for identifying and implementing COGS saving opportunities primarily associated with our long distance products.

Perform analysis and recommendations on vendor pricing proposals and rate schedules.

Validation/audit of monthly vendor invoicing relative to both a contractual basis and a usage basis.

Participates in cross-functional teams comprised of business owners, Procurement, Legal, Risk Management and other impacted organizations to coordinate Company equipment maintenance activities. 

Demonstrated ability to build and analyze financial models to evaluate proposal scenarios and present recommendations in a clear and concise format.

Must be adept at communicating with vendors and internal business partners to establish to adhere to corporate standards and processes

Must be able to develop, coordinate and control multiple process and or projects, achieving on time deliverables to satisfy the operating requirements of the Company, while delivering a high level of customer service to the organization.

Must be able to create and maintain documentation, in adherence with policy, to meet internal and external audit requirements.

Must have excellent written communication skills to effectively and accurately convey detailed and complex information regarding contract specifications, policies and procedures to consultants/contractors and internal clients.

Computer skills should include proficiency in MS Office including: Word, Excel and Power Point.

Able to comfortably interface with all levels, inside & outside the organization.

Work closely with Corporate accounting to identify and provide support on monthly variance analysis and explanations.

Provide Ad Hoc reports and fulfill analysis requests associated with potential COGs savings opportunities.

Assist in development of both capital expense budgets and monthly reporting requirements.
