Position Duties Include:
Provide design, installation, configuration, and administration and engineering support for the WebSphere product suite (WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere MQ). Plan and implement administration activities and administer and control the activities related to planning and development, and establish policies and procedures pertaining to management, security, maintenance, and utilization. Responsible for performance testing and appropriate tuning in support of a high-availability and complex environment. Install and configure appropriate monitoring tools (Wily and Dynatrace). Create and maintain advanced platform features. Consult and partner with infrastructure, application teams, and senior leaders and provide guidance on new or optimal technologies/methods to improve functionality and efficiency of the organizations technologies. Efficiently provide tier 1 and tier 2 support involving advanced troubleshooting. Act as liaison and consultant between vendors and senior leadership to contribute technical development for all platforms. Provide and oversee day to day technical/task management for assigned team and develop/enhance staff skillsets. Provide leadership in management of complex systems and workflows in a multi-tier/user organization. Responsible for the automation of WebSphere environments and properties through development of scripting using wsadmin,shell or Python. Responsible for identification and resolution of hardware, software or WebSphere problems/outages in any of the WebSphere related services. Deployment of enterprise builds through automated scripts to WebSphere Application Server JVM's. Responsible for technical performance and systems management of multiple Internet / Intranet or distributed systems environment including hardware operating system, middleware server administration tools and application server environments. Participate in performance analysis of all Web / J2EE WebSphere Application Server runtime environments using dynatrace or wily products. Perform Installation, Configuration and Administration of WebSphere Application Server and other suite of WebSphere products such as MQ. Perform the base installation as well as all upgrades and fix pack installations for all WebSphere Application server instances. Assist developers in debugging of programs/applications running on WebSphere Application Server. Perform additional support duties on related systems, such as WebSphere MQ and WebSphere Services Registry.
Masters degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Software Engineer or related occupation. Alternately, employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience as a Systems Analyst, Software Engineer or related occupation.
Position also requires 3 years of experience with banking and financial services, administration and engineering for WebSphere product suite (WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere MQ). Requires experience with WebSphere MQ support (Distributed Systems) for AIX and Windows-based systems. Requires ability to handle multiple priorities and oral and written communication.
