Sr. Integration and Test Engineer, Space Systems at Modern Technology Solutions in Arlington, VA

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical interface between one or more space vehicle vendors and SDA
• Define system level requirements
• Develop test plans to demonstrate interoperability between the designs of multiple vendors
• Support and advise the Transport Cell Chief, Transport Cell Lead Engineer, and SDA Chief Engineer on system maturation, development, integration, test and verification activities
• Provide analysis of contractor provided artifacts and advice at design reviews, subsystem design, test, risk management, and integration activities
• Provide subject matter expertise in space vehicle systems and subsystems to support decisions and design trades

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering and aquisition experience related to space and/or missile defense systems
• Education Requirements: ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or an appropriate technical discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Experience with integration and test design for DoD weapons and/or space systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Spacecraft systems and subsystems
• Optical communications
• Spacecraft design and manufacture
• Space sensors
• Experience in distributed algorithms and processing
• Experience in machine learning
• At least 5 years working in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Communitions

Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI)
