Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer, we'll count on you to:

• Independently coordinate the work of the I & C design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project

• Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance

• Proactively pursue additional I&C design and systems integration work with existing and new clients

• Expand I & C service offerings within local and regional market to grow and support group of I & C Engineers, Programmers, and Technicians

• Coordinate workload of I & C staff through design development and construction document phases to complete documents on schedule

• Contribute to I & C Technical Leadership Team and drive corporate initiatives for quality and strategic growth within I & C discipline

• Conduct systems integration of the I & C system, including programming of PLCs/PCs and HMI customizing for various control software programs

• Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines

• Write and edit I & C specifications, select equipment and monitoring/control devices

• Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders

• Provide constructioncontract administration as needed

• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other I & C Project Engineers, I & C Project Coordinators or I & C Technicians as needed

• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• 10+ years applicable experience

• PE license in the state of Arizona or ability to obtain PE License in Arizona within 60 days of employment commencement

• PLC/WTP and WWTP software programming

• Experience designing I and C Systems, including schematics and loops

• Experience managing I and C projects

• Knowledge of Modicon, Wonderware, and Interlution

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills are essential

• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

• Ability to interact with clients, design teams, and construction teams in a positive and proactive manner

• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

• Master's Degree

•20+ years applicable experience
