The Sr. Instructional Systems Designer (ISD) joins an energetic Instructional Systems Design Team in their mission to provide advanced level support for Childrens of Alabama's (COA) Learning Management System (Cornerstone), and development of technology enhanced learning initiatives. The incumbent will work in concert with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create high-quality, engaging, eLearning courses that further COA's mission. The Sr. ISD will be experienced in adult learning theory with an in-depth understanding of the instructional design and eLearning principles, strategies, technologies, program development, and fair use policy. S/he will balance multiple projects and competing priorities. The Sr. ISD will provide support and collaborate with customers to accomplish training and learning objectives with appropriate technology, while bringing a consultative approach to applying technological solutions to training and learning.
This position coordinates training requirements with clinical managers/staff, information technologymanagers/staff, representatives, and other resources to determine training needs. The Sr. ISD tracks progress, maintains records, writes reports and monitors training activities to ensure program effectiveness. This position may also require supervision, monitoring, training and evaluation of other instructional designers.
