This position will be responsible for the design, architecture, installation and maintenance of the infrastructure and environments including but not limited to the following: web, ftp and MS-SQL servers, Exchange, storage and cloud based service.
This position designs, implements, monitors and performs optimization of all data networks that comprise the corporate LAN/WAN/SAN/VOICE and Internet configurations.
Professionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.May be assigned as the team lead for the workgroup.
Lead role in design and architecture of systems, storage and/or networks.
Build, deploy and administer Windows2008/2012 servers, IIS configuration including setting up web/ftp sites, SMTP configuration, user access management and App pool management. Implement and administer common TCP/IP based services, including but not limited to DNS/DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH and SNMP.
Maintain and monitor all network, security and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements.
Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture of storage and provides disk space management and LUN assignment.
Responsible for the implementation and support of virtual environments using VMware and Cloud Services (Amazon/AWS and Azure)
Configuration maintenance which includes: identifying, testing and applying all pertinent service packs and fixes, and applying security patches based on vendor notifications.
Install, maintain, and monitor Cisco routers, switches, WAN and wireless technology as well as IP routing protocols.Support point to point WANtechnology and LAN and SAN topologies as required. Architect, design and implement networksecurity policies, procedures, VPN and ASA/PIX firewall.
Develop and maintain backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions.Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures and conduct tests.Implement replication technologies for seamless failover.
Bachelor’s degree plus at least six years related experience; or at least eight years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related technical discipline is highly desired.
Microsoft , VMware or Cisco certifications is preferred
At least 6 years’ advanced experience in the design, installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and environments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server 2008/2012, IIS, Clustering, Exchange, and Active Directory
Advanced knowledge of VMware virtualization platform
Advanced networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, and NetworkSecurity)
Extensive experience with Cloud technologies
Strong knowledge of storage technologies including SAN, iSCSI, LUNs
Demonstrated ability to design infrastructure to achieve high levels of availability
Ability to project manage and coordinate day to day activities for assigned projects
Ability to respectively communicate with team and project stakeholders and to build and foster a collaborative working environment among team members
Work location:Parsippany, NJ
Ability to work outside of regular standard work hours.
Travel is required at 5% of the time.
