Sr. Implementation Software Developerwanted by Travelport, LP, a travel technology services provider in Atlanta, GA and Englewood, CO.
Applies advanced knowledge of principles and concepts in the development, design, customer implementations and maintenance of multiple components or activities for more than one product or suite. Determines and develops solutions that meet and exceed stated requirements and functionality using standard procedures and tools. Develops code that meets requirements while maximizing efficiency. Uses appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile) when developing code. Analyzes code to diagnose problems and identify root causes of issues in an efficient manner. Writes test cases to test code developed. Generates ideas to improve overall system design and/or streamline delivery of customer Products. Champions needs of customer community and user experience enhancement. Acts as a key technical and/or functional point of contact for customer facing products as a technical expert. Understands and guides others in how to in balance tactical needs with strategic application of platform, application and/or global architectural standards. Proactively collaborates with team members and teams located in diverse locations, including: UX, Enterprise Architecture, QA, Business Analysts, Information Security, and Hotel and Car provider customers. Actively contributes to collaborative relationships with key vendors/partners to accomplish technology/application delivery goals.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Math or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or in a relevant occupation.
Experience must include:
5 years of experience working with Core Java, Multithreading, J2EE, IBM Web Services, XML Technologies, Soap UI, MULE and TPF;
5 years of experience developing, testing, implementing and supporting Global Distribution System (GDS) applications;
5 years of hotel and car travel domain experience working across a group of related products/applications;
5 years of experience in software development, deployment and technical customer support for commercial, customer facing solutions;
3 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies;
3 years of experience with IBM Message Broker; and
3 years of experience with JIRA.
