The UTC Aerospace Systems Human Resources organization is seeking an Human Resources leader to own HR responsibility for the Union, WV facility and partner closely with the business to develop and implement talent strategies and will be responsible for recruitment, labor relations, training and development, compensation, general employment practices, and legal compliance.
Key responsibilities include: Develop strong collaborative working relationships with UTAS HR team members to effectively execute HR processes, across multiple sites. •Effectively manage and execute HR processes, including talent acquisition and development, Leadership Development Review (LDR), Performance Management (PFT), Employee Engagement, diversity, salary planning, and incentive compensation planning. •Utilize standard processes and best practices to align human resource initiatives with business objectives. •Identify key performance metrics, and analyze and report findings to drive business decisions. •Partner with assigned client group to understand key business challenges and organization needs, and identify and execute programs to address gaps. •Provide advice and counsel to managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness. •Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels within the organization (office and factory). •Manage the labor relations process for the unionized sites that are part of the business, with hands on involvement in the grievance procedure, arbitration, and contract negotiations. •Manage and respond to employee relations issues. Demonstrate the ability to counsel employees on HR processes and procedures, performance management and career planning. •Oversee and/or participate in Human Resources projects and initiatives as required. •Support talent acquisition activities, including oversight and the processing of job offers and new hire on-boarding. •Ensure compliance with EEO/AAP. •Leverage ACE (Lean) tools and methodology to align with business needs.
Experience and Qualifications:Qualifications: Minimum five years' of HR Generalist / Labor Relations experience with an MA/MS in Human Resources Management , Business Administration or related field OR minimum of eight years HR Generalist / Labor Relations experience with an BA/BS in Human Resources Management , Business Administration or related field Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources management Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations Knowledge of employee development and professional growth Intermediate Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
