Member of the K2 Creative Design team responsible for concept and execution of design projects for layouts of all collateral and merchandising. Design product as needed. Works with clients to manage project schedules/targets for on-time delivery of projects.
Strategic planning of integrated creative activities includes management of resources, schedules and targets as well as assessing Product and Brand Design DNA. Ø
Ø Working with the clients to first determine the strategic goals of a project, collection or brand, guide strategic planning to unsure that product briefs, brand messages and related goals/targets are on track
Ø Prepares printing specifications for print shop. Obtains bids and recommends contract awards.
Maintains contact with vendors to ensure adherence to time schedules and specifications.
Ø Coordinates production: proofs typesetting and printing for adherence to specifications, determines if quality standards have been met.
Ø Prepares cost estimates for persons requesting graphic design services. Maintains accurate records of work in progress for billing and department records.
Ø Maintains department inventory by ordering or requisitioning graphic art supplies and equipment according to department procedures.
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field and three years experience in graphic design, layout and illustration, OR
Ø Seven years experience in graphic design, layout and illustration, OR
Ø Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
Ø Must be expert in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Quark Express, and Macromedia Freehand.
