The New Technologies and Application Services team is focused on initiatives that transform Avery Dennison into a highly collaborative, mobile and productive workforce. We are also responsible for providing an advanced digital presence among our customers and staying connected with them.
In this Technical Lead position, you will partner with business users and other IT teams to support, grow and mature the use of Google Collaboration Suite (Gmail, Calendaring, Drive, Hangouts, etc.) capabilities within the enterprise. You will lead a vendor team of Google Suite Tier 1 and Tier 2 system administrators for the operational effectiveness of Google Suite, Google Cloud and adjoining technologies in the collaboration ecosystem. You will also lead the G Suite governance and steering committee with IT leaders.
Administer, manage and maintain the GSuite ecosystem
Lead a team of Google Suite Tier3 system administrators, provide administration oversight for day-to-day activities in GSuite admin console, 3rd party tools and some home grown utilities.
Collaborate with Google product managers and strategists, Google tech support, outsourced vendor teams to evaluate and recommend new GSuite features/ enhancements.
Lead the Google governance steering committee to evolve the adoption of Google Suite capabilities within the enterprise.
Lead and facilitate enterprise rollout of custom solutions that integrate GSuite functionality and work productivity
Partner with other IT functions to evaluate, prioritize and resolve new issues & problem scenarios
Manage and administer Google EMM environment, enterprise Mobile App Store, device enrollments and resolve complex mobile OS specific issues
Manage and remediate issues related to Google Chrome on end point devices
Setup Google Analytics digital properties, enable dashboards & reports, troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to improper or inadequate reporting
Take ownership of the overall GSuite account management process integrated with enterprise IAM. Develop new system processes and improve existing ones for efficient GSuite account lifecycle management
Administer and manage the publishing and revocation of apps and extensions the enterprise mobile and Chrome app stores
Oversee email retention activities to comply with legal records retention policies
Partner with IT Security & Audit to enforce strict cross platform security and audit controls
Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to Document and support business rules, system operating procedures that pertain to the Google platform. Enhance documentation periodically for currency and relevance
Lead and carry out the integration or separation of email and collaboration systems during mergers & acquisitions or divestitures
Act as the single point of contact for P1 and P2 incidents, perform business impact assessments, coordinate and carryout suitable resolution involving key technical teams including Google support. Provide problem resolution reports for management as required.
Escalate support issues to Google Support, follow up and resolve them in a timely manner.
Periodically analyze trouble tickets from lower tier teams, identify gaps, create and carryout new solutions, document and train technical support staff globally.
Bachelordegree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent education and experience.
10+ years related experience in managing email and social systems
Strong expertise in email, email infrastructure, mail transfer protocols, mail access protocols, email security, spam, phishing and virus protection.
Strong expertise in administration and configuration of enterprise mobility management
Must be a self starter, with good time management skills, able to manage multiple activities simultaneously while requiring little or no oversight and/ or direction.
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Must demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills with ability to apply new technologies, concepts, & functionality to solve problems and implement solutions.
Must comprehend relationship between company policies, business & technical processes and procedures
Must be able to create design documents, system operating procedures & FAQs
3+ years of experience administering GSuite for an enterprise with 10,000+ users
5+ years of configuration and administration experience in Outlook 365 or MS Exchange or Lotus Notes/ Domino or equivalent for an enterprise with 10,000+ users
Setup and administration of SAAS based solutions for the enterprise.
Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, Google App Engine, CloudSQL and building cloud based enterprise applications.
Working knowledge of web applications - SDLC, Cloud based web application development concepts and principles, SAAS integration for an enterprise, web content management
