About the Position: 938940
Sr. Global Material Manager:
This position will partner closely with Juniper’s internal Supply Chain Management Organization, Operations Planning, and our external CEM partners to develop strategies for effectively supporting requiredraw material predictability and flexibility. These strategies will be focused around inventory management strategies, lead time reduction programs, implementation of supply chain lean principles, and ensuring proper documentation is both developed and maintained. This position will require knowledge of supply chain management fundamentals. Position will require ability to effectively communicate with multipleorganizations within Juniper as well as Juniper’s external partners and supply base. In addition, interpersonal and team skills, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, and presentation skills will also be required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Recommends policies, guidelines and procedures to management, as required to address global issues.
Drives global standards, and establish baseline and targets, for measuring and reporting key GCM KPI/metrics:
q/q cost savings
lead time analysis
Reorder Point (ROP) penetration
Conducts benchmarking studies to gauge global materials management excellence, drive continuous improvement
Supply demand management for assurance of supply.
Interface with Juniper SCM and CEMs
Escalate with Juniper GCM and/or supplier
Quarterly contract pricing validation/issue resolution
Interface between Juniper GCM, suppliers and CEM to close on discrepancies related to Lead time, MOQ, Pricing, terms, etc.
Interface with NPI
Liaison with New Product Introduction (NPI), regarding BOM reviews per phase exits
Support individual cost down exercises with NPI and Business Units
Drive global cost down strategy for CEM controlled parts
Real-time Agile/PCM data management
12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree
Must have experience managing a team. (People Manager)
