The Senior Fund Development Specialist is primarily responsible for process oversight throughout the lifecycle of funding awards, contracts and fee for service engagements. The Senior Fund Development Specialist participates in the creation of and facilitates the maintenance and execution of the external funding strategy for the Office for Community Child Health (OCCH) in partnership with CT Children's Foundation and the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs (OGSP). By working as, a liaison between these departments, the Senior Fund Development Specialist ensures that resources are deployed optimally to execute the funding strategy in a coordinated and effective manner. The Specialist works with Program Managers to design funding dashboards that will then be used to monitor progress against established objectives. The Specialist also serves as an advisor to the leadership team by identifying improvement opportunities, prioritizing activities and troubleshooting issues that arise and are related to funding priorities. At times the Specialist is called upon to perform proposal writing, analyses and other fund related activities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degreerequired with at least seven years previous, grant and/or stewardship experience is preferred.
