Tesla Grohmann Automation (TGA) is looking for an exceptional Sr. Field Process Engineer who will play an instrumental role in new process and equipment development in collaboration with our customer and our internal development teams. S/he role will be responsible for the implementation of new processes, adaptation of existing processes to new products and continuous process improvement on existing equipment at our customer's manufacturing site. S/he will also support the development, prototyping, and improvement of new equipment models at our customer's manufacturing site.


• Plan, supervise and support equipment installation, setup and calibration of manufacturing equipment

• Plan, execute and document manufacturing process setup and optimization

• Maintain communication between customers engineering groups and TGA development engineers

• Process and equipment analysis, identification of gaps to specification and planning of corrective measures to meet buyoff criteria

• Preparation, execution, documentation and evaluation of results of test runs in collaboration with the development engineer and the customer

• On site process support for customer manufacturing

• Troubleshoot and resolve critical and single point failures in a development and manufacturing environment (including hardware, software, embedded controller, etc.).

• Assist and coordinate troubleshooting of software issues

• Conduct statistical analysis, apply methodological problem solving methods (i.e. 8D), and prepare FMEA's

• Quality support through independent critical review of quality documents and feedback in the event of quality problems

• Represent TGA Development group in customer meetings including preparation and reporting

• Preparation of training material, training documentation, general documentation

• Preparation of process and test plans

• Technical supervision


• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable degree, or the equivalent in experience

• At least 8 years of professional experience, preferably in high-tech assembly or packaging process and equipment.

• Experience with software-controlled automation and vision systems

• Very good knowledge in handling standard MS-Office applications

• Very safe and very well structured presentation methodology

• High personal initiative and high motivation for the continuous improvement of processes

• Very structured problem analysis and solution finding skills

• Good knowledge of statistics

• Basic knowledge of at least one statistical software for the design of experiments

• Ability to work collaboratively or independently with minimal supervision

• Enthusiasm for technically complex tasks
