The Facility Engineer will have responsibility for oversight of the construction, maintenance, upkeep and improvements to all facilities globally as well as the development and construction of new facilities. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and oversight for a global roofing strategy which includes identifying roofing maintenance and required replacements through an annual roofing audit, maintaining roofing specifications, and oversight of all roof construction and replacement work.
  • Provide expertise and oversight for global HVAC requirements in office spaces, which includes identifying maintenance and replacement schedules.
  • Provide expertise and oversight for fire protection requirements in manufacturing, warehouse, and office spaces.
  • Maintain fire protection specifications and approve building changes and additions as it relates to fire protection.
  • Maintain overall facilities specifications including general construction specifications for foundations, floors, walls, power distribution, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing, lighting, etc.
  • Provide oversight and expertise to all building projects including maintenance, modifications, new construction, and changes to the properties.
  • Supportrisk management activities which include supporting risk management audits and managing corrective actions, providing technical expertise to solve risk management findings, and supporting other activities as necessary to support the treasury department in optimizing insurance coverage.
  • Make recommendations regarding long and short term needs of facilities
  • Qualify and manage contract firms and contractors as necessary
  • Assist in the creation and execution of facility budgets
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance to OSHA safety regulations, NFPA, IBC, NEC and other relevant standards

Basic Qualifications:

BachelorDegree in Engineering discipline (civil, mechanical, electrical) 

5-10 years of relevant work experience with fire protection, building standards, building maintenance, and construction 

Significant understanding of construction practices and specifications 

Significant understanding of various standards including, but not limited to OSHA, NFPA, IBC, and NEC. 

General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as it relates to evaluate existing and specifying new equipment or upgrades 

Willing & able to travel up to 50% - both domestic and international 

Preferred Qualifications:

AIA Contract experience 

Previous project management experience 

Familiarity and working knowledge of HVAC systems
