The Opportunity:
The Sr. Account Executive will be at the forefront of helping customers to reach their sustainability goals. As part of Enel X Customer Insights Sales team, you will be the subject manger expert who will primarily evangelize Enel X's energy management solutions, while driving revenue growth for the company. Working mostly in the field, you will enjoy autonomy, as well as the support of a bright, dedicated, and collaborative sales team.
This role requires a confident and professional self-starter who is experienced interfacing with executive level leadership to solve big business problems, aggressive in finding and closing business, engaging the full range of stakeholders across the customer organization, focused on meeting the customer’s needs, and able to work well within a team of sales managers in a rapidly growing business to and connecting customer pain points to a world class solution suite. Proven success prospecting and managing a complex sales process for consultative services is critical.
What You'll Do at Enel:
- Primarily prospect and recruit customers for comprehensive energy management engagements that incorporate our renewable energy, supply management, utility bill management and demand management solutions
- Execute Enterprise sales process and engage power base at target customers
- Develop customer market segmentation, targeting strategies, and sales planning in accordance with objectives of the sales team
- Use Enel X CRM systems for pipeline management and sales progress reporting
- Analyze customer energy and facility data to understand a company's energy-related needs and propose solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop other energy management strategies and promote solutions using Enel X's portfolio of offerings that answer the business needs of customers of Enel X
- Negotiate and close contracts for services with these customers
- Deliver weekly, quarterly, and annual sales metrics that exceed expectations for the role
Who You Are:
- Client-facing, a strong relationship builder focused on customer success and able to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal
- Organized and detail oriented
- Adaptable and flexible, can manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
- Able to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines
- Entrepreneurial with a highly developed business acumen
- Able to travel up to 40% (once it is safe to do so again)
What You've Accomplished:
- 7+ years of outside sales and/or account management experience, including 5+ years B2B enterprise sales
- Experience closing sales for energy sourcing solutions, energy hardware, energy software, or energy management services in the utility, institutional, or industrial markets
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Lead generation expertise, as well as the ability to quickly identify and qualify sales opportunities to build and maintain a pipeline for new business
- Ability to illustrate ROI to high level decision makers, as well as interacting with purchasing, operations, and other utility representatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- An established network of target market contacts and strong relationships with prospective clients
- Previous experience selling renewable energy-related solutions into large commercial or industrial businesses
