A Day in the Life
This leadership role will be responsible for establishing a new group within Sensor Operations:
1. Support R&D in product development and design for manufacturability2. Improve process capability for existing processes in sensors fabrication, assembly automation, and consumables low cost high rate production3. Develop processes for new automated manufacturing lines.4. Responsible for high speed automated equipment design, fabrication, installation for existing and new products5. Leads the efforts for equipment vendor selection6. Leads factory acceptance testing (FATs) 7. Creates the automation strategy, including site recommendations, capital budget, financial business case, sensor manufacturing cost targets and assures we meet demand forecasts8. Owns the software development for assuring integration of automated manufacturing lines9. Plans, directs and implements all aspects of the company's process development of new medical device products or software systems.10. May develop, evaluate, implement and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability systems and standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or company products.11. Oversees the investigation and evaluation of existing technologies.12. Guides the conceptualization of new methodologies, materials, machines, processes.13. Directs the development of new concepts from initial design to market release, as a close partner with our R&D team.14. Manages feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.15. Owns the process development documentation throughout all phases of our new product pipeline.16. Organizes the coordination and selection of activities outside component suppliers and consultants to ensure product sustainability post launch.17. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Must Have: • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 13years of relevant experience with 10 years of managerial experience.• 5 years experience directing process development (including automation) of high volume, high speed manufacturing.
Nice to Have:• Experience in regulated healthcare environment (e.g. medical device, biopharma, etc)• International experience or background• Demonstrated success in improving process capability • Experienced leader in new product introduction, partnering with R&D to develop products and processes• Develops detailed strategic plans and successful execution• Global leader, can navigate transfers on a global site level and manages resources on a global level • Experienced leader in recruiting a new team of 6-10 global engineers• Very strategic visionary leader but also hands on tactical problem solver • Engineering degree • Has a working knowledge of high speed manufacturing equipment and post launch ramp up, process improvement
