Provides implementation services, analysis and technical support for network security infrastructure. Responsible for Network Security and Directory Services technologies.
Responsible for implementing and supporting the internet/intranet/extranet security infrastructure.
Will also be responsible for Intrusion Detection analysis, remote access administration, load balancer and internet access points.
Provide level 3 technical support and analysis for complex internet/intranet/extranet security infrastructure problems.
Management and administration of hardware (Windows & UNIX) platforms supporting device and application management consoles and authentication services.
Participation in technical review committee's that diagnose and assess security changes to the enterprise security infrastructure.
Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network security including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, remote access, DMZ's and business partner connectivity.
Knowledgeable in Checkpoint, Symantec, ISS and Cisco implementation / management tools and data analysis techniques.
Provide implementation services and technical support for the Directory Services infrastucture. including Microsoft Active Directory, Internet Authentication Services (IAS), Certificate Authority and Microsoft Identity Information Server (MIIS).
Self-directed coordination of implementation projects, tasks, device documentation and cross training of coworkers.
Identify and resolve complex network security problems using analitical problem solving methods/techniques and security management tools/devices.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques in the field.
General knowledge of other related disciplines.

Directs technical work of less-experienced staff.

Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions would typically result in serious program/project delays, considerable expenditure of resources and would typically result in extended network outages that could cause serious business interruptions.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field. Or equivalent work experience. 4 - 7 years of IT experience. 3 - 5 years or equivalent network security experience. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and bridging protocols including OSPF and BGP.
