Sr. Network Service Analyst - Security and Compliance
The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), an award-winning public pension fund, is offering a great opportunity for the right person who has excellent technical experience with IT security and compliance and effective communications skills.
IMRF is seeking a Senior Network Service Analyst -Security and Compliance. This position will join an existing team of technology staff and will report to the TechnologyInfrastructure Manager.
IMRF has an enterprise-wide modernization initiative in progress, which will completely replace our current applications with Line of Business, CRM, ECM, and BI applications integrated in a flexible Service Oriented Architecture. Key technology platform components of the new solution include VMware, SQL Server, Windows Server, .NET, Cisco networking, enterprise SAN, and Avaya VOIP.

The Security and Compliance Analyst is directly responsible for ensuring compliance with SOC1 and NIST as well as implementing security best practices. You will resolve complex issues related to security on all aspects of the IMRFnetwork; Firewall, SIEM, NAC, VMware, AD with GPO deployment, Email, Cisco, servers, and workstations. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Continue to ensure IMRF compliance with SOC1, Security Best Practices, and NIST as part of our Systems Development Lifecycle
Monitor various security consoles ( NAC, Firewall, Email, AV, Vulnerability etc. ) to log devices/systems and alert on unauthorized activity; maintaining an inventory of authorized and unauthorized devices.
Monitor SIEM console & email alerts, investigate unknown/suspicious activity against IMRF baselines.Determine remediation options and implement changes including any documentation updates.
Aggregate audit scans and patch management auditreports to ensure a comprehensive inventory of allowed software/hardware
Capture system security configuration settings and Line Of Business ( LOB ) application and dependent service configurations. This includes integrity checking mechanisms for data, systems, and software.
Provide security analysis and reports as needed
Implement, review, & verify that our Disaster Recovery security is implemented the same as our Oak Brook site.This includes participating in validation of all IMRF systems Availability ( part of the CIA triad )
Staff the Help Desk, solving complex as well as common problems having to do with system security and network access
Manage laptop hard drive encryption and maintain the encryption server
Evaluate, test and deploy patches to all IMRF systems on a monthly or “as needed” basis
Review, research and resolve virus issues and vulnerabilities
Perform duties of Network Services Analyst or other Senior Network Services Analysts as needed
Weeknight and Weekend work is performed as an overtime function scheduled as needed.Our outage windows are Tuesday/Thursday 6pm to 9pm and Sunday 4am to 7am.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
AA required; Bachelor’s Degreepreferred
Three years experience in Security, PowerShell scripting, Active Directory
5+ years of experience in IT support and networking
