Job Summary

As a Network Engineer, you will own and influence the deployment of key infrastructure technical engagements including design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or pilots. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading deep technical discussions with Senior Executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers to drive core infrastructure solutions.


Network Engineer Job Responsibilities:

Establishes and maintains network performance.

Builds net configurations and connections.

Troubleshoots network problems.

IP address auditing.Network Engineer Job Duties:

Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration and directing system installation.

Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.

Maximizes performance by troubleshooting network problems and outages and scheduling upgrades.

Configures router.

Updates network equipment.

Collaborates with architects on network optimization.

Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access. Works closely with IT Compliance to meet Government requirements

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.

Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Reports network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information, and managing projects.Network Engineer


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

Network knowledge

Network design and implementation

Network troubleshooting

Tracking budget expenses

Project management

Problem-solving and analytical skills

Time-management skills

Strong documentation skills

LAN/WAN/SDWAN knowledge

Network hardware configuration (Cisco and Dell) (Firewalls - Cisco; Palo Alto)

Network performance tuning

Wireless Networks (Aerohive)

Telephones UCAS systems

People managementEducation and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certificate required

CompTIA networking certifications preferred

5+ years' experience in managing sophisticated computer networks

3+ years' experience in network architecture and deployment

Master's Degree in Information Technology or related field

Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certificate required

10+ years' experience in managing sophisticated computer networks
