Mitel is seeking a Sr. Director, Product Marketing, Unified Communications, who will be responsible for overseeing the global product marketing ofthe company’s offerings for communications & collaboration, contact center, and professional services.

The Group Director, Product Marketing role will define and execute the marketing positioning, messaging and go-to market strategy that enables growth across Mitel’s legacy and emerging solution offerings, including the transition to public, private and hybrid cloud solutions. The role will partner closely with the respective portfolio General Managers, R&D leaders, Mitel Labs team as well as the broader Sales & Marketing organization. As a senior marketing leadership position, this role has access to and will work across all levels of the organization to cultivate existing customers while attracting new ones.

This position can be based in Plano, Texas or Kanata, Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the product/solution level value propositions, recommended market segmentation, defined measures of success and operating cadence for performance review/alignment.
  • Define, launch and oversee strategic programs to migrate the installed base to cloud-based, recurring revenue solutions as well as attract net new customers.
  • Anchor the contribution to key performance measure such as: Successful measures can include: revenue/bookings growth, gross margin, time to market for new offerings, conversion/retention rate, new logos, industry analyst report placement and so on.
  • Guide and share insights and counter-positioning specific to Mitel’s competitive set.
  • Proactively work with Product Management and R&D to ensure market dynamics, G-T-M performance unique to Mitel and feature differentiation input is offered in a consistent and meaningful manner.
  • Seek consistent and thoughtful feedback from end customers, channels and field staff on the positioning and experience specific to Mitel solutions.
  • Engage with media, analysts, and consultants to aid consideration and coverage of Mitel.

Qualifications

  • Domain expertise across IT decision making for both SMBs and enterprises as they segue to public and private cloud technologies. Experience in the communications and collaboration segment a plus.
  • Proven experience defining, executing and managing product marketing initiatives that drive consideration and gain market share.
  • 5+ years leadership experience managing teams; remote and global teams a plus
  • Track record of understanding all aspects of go-to-market strategy for both SMB and enterprise hardware/software products, solutions, industries and services.
  • Execution insight into the operational and field enablement elements of delivering SMB and enterprise hardware/software offers both direct and via channels.
  • Exceptional presentation and writing skills. Fluent across P&L measures related to effective portfolio management. Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to manage remote staff and disparate priorities while seeking a common execution goal.
  • Detail-oriented, metrics driven.
