Sr. Director, Product Management - Marketing Technology

Capital One is seeking a talented leader to drive the transformation of its marketing technology and data ecosystem for the Card business. We need someone who is excited about reimagining the future of consumer marketing, establishing technology and data driven marketing leadership and bringing that to life within Capital One. This person will play a key role in identifying and delivering marketing technology solutions to support cross-channel marketing needs and to enable marketing that is increasingly personalized, targeted and measurable.

This marketing and technology leader will lead a team of direct and cross-functional resources across multiple business, product, and engineering teams. This is a critical and highly visible role requiring significant stakeholder influence and relationship management both internally (US Card Senior Leadership Team, US Card Segment Leaders, Marketing and Technology Senior Leaders and other functional experts) and externally (Strategic Partners, Vendors, Advertising Agencies, Publishers and leading marketing and technology companies).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the effort to design, build and deploy the marketing technology and data ecosystem for U.S. Card and champion with internal and external stakeholders
  • Enable amazing customer experiences across internal and external marketing channels to drive transformational results around marketing effectiveness, efficiency and relevance
  • Recruit, lead, develop and inspire a large cross functional team of marketers, analysts, product managers, technologists, data scientists and data engineers around this effort

The Person:

The ideal individual we seek is a professionally mature, confident executive who is comfortable and effective at all levels of the organization. S/He will use prior marketing, technology and product management experience and creative problem-solving to craft an industry-leading marketing ecosystem. This person will leverage their deep understanding of the marketing and advertising ecosystem to develop the marketing technology (MarTech) and data stack that can serve as a sustainable source of competitive advantage. S/He will have a proven track record working with machine learning, technology and data analytics to solve complex business problems. This person will be a strategic thought partner, capable of communicating and influencing senior leadership while maintaining independence. S/He will have the ability to collaborate across the enterprise, building relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. This person will have extensive experience as a people leader, investing and growing talent.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in digital product management
  • At least 5 years of experience building Marketing Technologies (MarTech)
  • At least 6 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 5-7 years of experience in Agile product management
