Job Description

In this role;

Sr. Director of Manufacturing. Planning designs, develops and deploys planning system capabilities, processes, competencies, standards, and policies which enable flawless execution of the delivery system through tight alignment of demand, supply and capacity plans.

You are responsible for;

Continued improvement of OTD, linearity and revenue execution while increasing asset velocity. Meeting inventory plans and continued improvement in inventory turns/days of supply are the key objectives of this role. Critical process focus areas would be SIOP standards & policy deployment, Plan for Every Part (PfEP), End to End Lead Time reduction and Demand/Supply optimization systems within the ERP system to drive predictability and linearity. Master Production Scheduling standard policies and related toolsets shall be introduced in collaboration with the IT organization. Scope covers both OE manufacturing and aftermarket (spares and repairs/RMA). Alignment with IT systems improvement roadmap and tools a critical success factor. Planning community competency/capability and talent development is also an objective of this role.

To succeed n this role

Planning system/org definition, policies, requirements, planning and implementation­ Deployment plan details (standard planning system deployment framework)­ Planning system and org competency analysis, maturity, SME network, and talent development­ Site planning mgmt. system integration, metrics and governance (KPI reviews and monitoring)­ Learning plans and forums (ie. Webinars) for all levels, as well as certification plans (ie. APICS)­ Work with HR/OD to establish the basis of the Mercury's planning curriculum­ Aftermarket (spares and repairs/RMA) planning system development including forecast tools/systems

Functional capability analysis and SME population growth plan (embedded resources)­ Site planner and planning leader role competency requirements and min qualification definitions­ ERP (Oracle) integration and roadmap/plans in partnership with IT team­ Demand plan accuracy improvements in collaboration with order administration team

Inventory plan budgeting and forecasting accuracy using advanced analytics and tools­ Inventory management KPIs, review process, and governance at BUs and executive levels­ MES tools, standardization and deployment plans in collaboration with IT

Manufacturing planning system and inventory management expertise in both OE and Aftermarket­ ERP/MRP (Oracle) working knowledge/expertise in both OE and Aftermarket (spares and repairs)­ Ability to describe excellence and "what good looks like" then teach/coach and train the organization­ Integrative thinking, leadership impact/influence, and change management skills

Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)­ Global mindset and ability to leverage/source analytics and data mgmt. work­ Demonstrated ability to facilitate the implementation of significant changes in a large organization­ Ability to build consensus quickly across multiple organizations and all levels of the enterprise

Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems­ Financial acumen & analytical skills. Inventory annual operating plan/budgeting process expertise­ Six Sigma/Lean operating system tools knowledge with several cycles of learning­ Clear understanding of the linkages of demand/supply/capacity as well as simulation tools

Proven ability to influence and provide multi-functional leadership across multiple sites in a matrix­ 5 years of experience leading planning organizations in discrete manufacturing environment

5 years of direct experience leading spares and repairs planning operations­ 5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing and operations management positions­ 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or general mgmt. roles

­Experience in Aero & Defense (high mix/low volume) & program based manufacturing environment.
