Are you a Compensation Guru looking to join a complex company disrupting the industry it's leading? Katerra needs you! Our Sr. Director of Compensation will champion the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including our total cash compensation model. This role will work with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. This role is responsible for the entire organization's compensation model. The Director will manage the entire compensation department, within our broader HR department, reporting directly to the Head of HR. This position will create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champion global total rewards strategy and establish infrastructure for base, cash and equity compensation
  • Build and lead a team in compensation and benefits to maintain market competitive benefits
  • Implement a mobility program
  • Use your working knowledge of BPO to implement the best options in the industry

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA or advanced certification (CCP, CBP, CEP or SPHR) preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in broad-based compensation, executive, and incentive plan strategy, design, and administration with proven experience designing and implementing executive compensation plans and total rewards
  • Leadership skills balanced with a willingness to play a 'hands-on' role with
  • key projects
  • User experience in compensation surveys
  • Experience in a large global corporate environment and small to mid-size company, as we need the ability to build strategy and get your hands dirty
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills required to effectively communicate total rewards strategies at all levels, from administrative to the C-Suite
  • Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively to effectively translate data into actionable insights, strategies and financial plans
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, growing environment
  • Global experience in multiple countries

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • CCP Certification
  • Compensation design experience including, cash, equity & LTI
  • Consulting experience with expertise in compensation advisory work

  • Experience developing construction compensation
