Responsibilities

NCI: As Senior Director Digital Transformation (Operations Director II) you will be responsible for the creation and execution of the digital transformation strategy and practice to include Artificial Intelligence, Agile Software Development, and DevSecOps. Working as a liaison with the business development, technology solutions and business operations staffs you will help drive execution of the company’s digital strategy for new business opportunities as well as helping with the operationalization of new business starts in direct communication with the project director, solutions architects and management staff to proactively provide strategic direction and guidance in the operations and planning of digital transformation programs to strengthen collaboration and mutually benefit stakeholders. In addition, provide ongoing support and guidance on critical issues, identify areas of vulnerability, identify high priority areas for improvements, identify opportunities and challenges within operational programs, and advise on key issues and policy utilizing in-depth knowledge and expertise within the realm of digital transformation.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Directs and oversees an organization's operational policies, objectives, and initiatives
  • Responsible for evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures and determining and implementing changes as necessary
  • Achieves operational objectives by maintaining current systems/policies/procedures
  • Evaluates, recommends, tests and installs new technology, contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Prepares and completes action plans
  • Implements production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards
  • Resolves problems; completes audits; identifies trends; determines system improvements; implements change
  • Meets operations’ financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
  • Determines operations’ service requirements by analyzing needs of users/departments; prioritizing modifications; resolves organizational conflicts; developing and implementing documentation requirements for problem resolution
  • Improves quality results by evaluating and upgrading processes; directing changes
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks
  • Leads and directs the work of others

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a managerial capacity with responsibility for providing supervisory direction to a large and complex program;
  • Senior advisor experience overseeing large projects and developing foundational and operational support for projects, utilizing sophisticated analytical skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to bring about strategic change, both within and outside the organization, to meet organizational goals;
  • Senior level experience advising on identified operational and policy issues and trends, making recommendations for optimizing operational collaboration, efficiencies, and effectiveness;
  • Supervisory/Managerial/Advisory experience related to project oversight, directing and overseeing the mission-critical work, activities, taking initiatives, leading teams, and managing risk;
  • Working experience and in-depth knowledge of Artificial Intelligence; Agile Software Development, and DevSecOps programs;
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited university and in a field of study that can be reasonably interpreted to perform tasks related to this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:

  • Sitting for long periods
  • Ambulate between several buildings
  • Travel by land or air transportation 25%
