The Sr. Director of CDI is responsible for the overall strategic, financial, operational management and leadership for CDI services enterprise-wide.
The Sr. Director develops and executes key performance metrics to ensure quality and compliant documentation that supports appropriate reimbursement, risk of mortality and severity of illness.
EducationRequired: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, or otherhealthcare related degree. Master’s degree in related field preferred. Documented proof of completion of a nationally recognized ICD-10 training/education.
Ten years of progressive leadership experience in healthcarerequired. Previous manager or director level experience with a large complex integrated health system that includes acute care hospitals with an EMR required. Experience with CDI program preferred.
Licensure/certification required: Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing or RHIA required; Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist or Certified Clinical Documentation Improvement Practitioner, Certified Coding Specialist is a plus.
