Plan Sponsor Insights (PSI) is searching for an experienced leader to build and lead a geo-aligned analytic team. This senior director position will oversee a team of Analytic Consultants that perform detailed medical cost and program analytics and provide consultative analytic support to Aetna's commercial Plan Sponsors working with a team of clinical consultants.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide oversight and strategic direction to the team, consultative analytics to account management teams and plan sponsors and work in partnership with the clinical consultants. The Sr. Director will work with the territory leadership - across segments - to ensure strategic alignment. This individual will partner with business owners to optimize the achievement of strategic business objectives, to include profitable growth and improved organizational effectiveness. This work will result in initiatives that significantly impact company strategy enabling Aetna to be competitive in the marketplace and effectively serve its customers. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing new service models, building a high performance team and monitoring their on-going success.
This role requires a thorough understanding of healthcare analytics including cost, trend, population health and clinical programs. The analytic team, including the Sr. Director, is responsible for creating content for use in external discussions and clearly articulating results and solutions to a wide range of audiences including customers and consultants; consultative skills are a core competency for this role.
The individual in this position must be a strong leader able to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team of analysts, a thorough understanding of the healthcare industry including benefit strategies and emerging trends, strong communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all internal business partners and external constituents including but not limited to brokers, consultants, existing customers, prospects, and industry groups.
10+ years health care industry experience
Deep knowledge of the healthcare industry including benefit plans, medical management programs, trend and population health analytics
Demonstrated leadership ability including continued process improvement and development of a high performance culture
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated consultative skills able to explain complex data and present clearly-articulated solutions
Understanding of relational databases, warehousing, reporting and visualization tools
Demonstrated experience successfully implementing change in complex organizations
Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously.
Strong computer skills using Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
