Personal Insurance Architecture at Travelers is seeking a Senior Architecture Director who will provide strategic technology leadership to the assigned portfolio, with accountability for end-to-end strategic architecture roadmap and all relevant architectures.
In this role you will adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, best practices and technology assistance. You will perform project level design, debug and performance analysis.
The successful candidate will also manage the architecture runway for all Agile teams within a portfolio, including delegating architecture runway stories to Solution Architects and seeing them through to completion.
This position involves working closely with key stakeholders to build relationships and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. You will influence the technical direction of projects and system support. This job is a Manager: The successful candidate will be responsible for setting work objectives and goals for employees and managing their performance; this includes involvement in compensation decisions. Employees will have a formal reporting relationship to this job. This role functions under GeneralDirection: Establishes procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives in a broad area of work. Generally final results are reviewed.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
High School diploma or equivalent required. 6 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture required. 3 years of experience managing others and/or technical teams.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 9 years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture preferred. 5 years of experience managing others and/or technical teams.

Technical Knowledge: Broad conceptual understanding of capabilities and direction of technology, coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the technology required and the needs of business environment necessary to support assigned systems and/or projects.
