The DevOps Senior Manager designs, builds and maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across production, UAT, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle. Manages and oversees the DevOps team and related projects with financial, schedule and performance commitments.
The DevOps Senior Manager implements automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring, reporting and issue tracking. Monitors, troubleshoots, maintains, and continuously improves building, packaging, deployment and support processes. In addition, the DevOps Senior Manager utilizes a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
The DevOps Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget of subordinate teams. Working as a DevOps Senior Manager requires 7+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments and clients.
With the integration of Industrial Automation into DevOps framework, the DevOps Senior Manager will also have traditional SI project delivery teams to support through the integration of tools that automate much of the traditional engineering practices and validation methods. Industrial Automation is Mission Critical, uptime is paramount, risk avoidance or mitigation must be first in your planning and practices.
The DevOps Senior Manager manages service delivery and systems reliability and scalability including: reporting, configuration and build, testing, planning, and deployment of solutions and will be accountable for all aspects of deployment and technical operations including technical project resources (partners/subcontractors or staff), scheduling, budgeting, risk management, internal and external communications, status reporting, and resource management (internal and partners), reporting to the Cloud Operations Manager.
The DevOps Senior Manager takes complete ownership of the technical implementation of projects and ensure that no stone is left unturned to avoid risks. You take quality very seriously and work to quantify and evaluate new ways of measuring quality to ensure application uptime and a positive user experience, and that we continue to deliver excellent customer experiences.
